About

Founded by Ellie Boyd in 2025, Studio Foundations NWA was developed after years' worth of collaborative brainstorming about how to bring arts education to the public. Together, we are a collective of artists, educators, and lifelong makers based in Springdale, Arkansas — but really, we come from all over. Many of us met while studying studio art at the University of Arkansas, and between us, we’ve taught in over 20+ art spaces across the country. What brought us together — and what keeps us here — is a shared love for Northwest Arkansas and the people who make it feel like home.

Studio Foundations is our way of giving back and building up. We believe that everyone deserves access to creative experiences — not just the final product, but the messy, joyful, hands-on process of making something new. Whether it’s clay on the wheel, a fresh screenprint, or a wild mixed-media project, we’re here to help folks of all ages explore, create, and grow their skills with confidence.
